About Kelyland
Our Story
2013-2019 (Inception)
Hanke Chen, the founder of Kelyland Outdoors, has always been passionate about martial arts and outdoor travel. During high school, inspired by Bruce Lee’s movies, he taught himself nunchaku skills. While in university, he established the school’s nunchaku club and led its members in various teaching and performance activities over four years.

With a bachelor’s degree in International Economics and Trade and a strong interest in outdoor products, Hanke began his career in the international trade of camping supplies after graduating in 2013. His professional journey started with an internship at a leading outdoor tent factory. During this time, he visited over 300 specialized factories, gaining deep technical knowledge of outdoor products. He also joined the sales team at numerous domestic and international exhibitions, building extensive sales experience.
Even with a busy career, Hanke never gave up his love for travel. Over seven years, he explored more than 100 cities across China. In 2014, he began traveling overseas as a backpacker, starting with Sabah, Malaysia, where he climbed Mount Kinabalu. This trip sparked his second passion—photography. Equipped with his Canon 650D, he traveled across Southeast Asia, visiting cities like Manila, Cebu, Da Nang, Hanoi, Ho Chi Minh City, Bangkok, Chiang Mai, Phnom Penh, Siem Reap, Malacca, Kuala Lumpur, Johor Bahru, Singapore, Jakarta, Bali, and Lombok, etc.

2020-2024 (Transition)
The COVID-19 pandemic brought significant changes to the camping industry, driving rapid growth both in China and globally. By 2023, as the pandemic eased in China, the sales market expanded quickly. This shift inspired Hanke to start his own business. He left his high-paying job to focus entirely on the overseas sales of camping products.

In 2024, Hanke launched Kelyland, an outdoor brand, and founded an international trading company under the same name, securing its trademark. The name “Kelyland” combines “kely,” meaning “small” in Malagasy, with “land,” representing a piece of territory. With over a decade of experience, Hanke aimed to build his own “small land” in the camping industry—a place where his clients would feel at home as its residents.
2025 and Beyond (Development)
The year 2024 marked the beginning of the Kelyland Outdoors team. After more than 6 months of hard work by Hanke, the company’s sales and service teams were fully formed, and business performance became stable. The team now includes Anne, Fanny, Jim, Lee, and Nigel. Like Hanke, each member is passionate about camping, travel, and international sales. They collaborate closely, with clear roles, working together to deliver excellent service to every Kelyland business partner.
